One Cannot Fall in The Same Place Twice

After circling around the room and finding no clothes left outside, Mu’en finally set his eyes on a wardrobe that seemed to have fallen to the ground after being bumped into earlier.

“It’s not theft, it’s not theft; I’m only taking one piece of clothing, and I will compensate double—no, ten times—afterwards.”

Muttering to himself to reassure that this was not a bad deed, Mu’en reached out to pull open the wardrobe.

“Huh? Why can’t I pull it?”

Mu’en looked at the wardrobe in front of him, displaying some confusion.

Then he directed his gaze down through the gap in the wardrobe door and was immediately shocked.

“What the heck, so many locks?”

Due to the dim light inside, he had not noticed it earlier. Now that his eyes had adapted to the darkness, Mu’en finally realized…

The shabby wardrobe in front of him had at least a dozen locks hanging on it!

“What on earth? Is there a gold bar stolen from the bank inside?”

Mu’en straightened up, feeling a bit troubled.

If someone had locked it up like this, it must mean there was something very important inside. He couldn’t just pry the locks open, could he?

Although prying these locks wasn’t difficult for him.

“Forget it, let’s think of another way; wrapping myself in a blanket is not the worst thing.”

As Mu’en prepared to grab a sheet from the bed next to him for emergency use, his peripheral vision caught sight of the side of the wardrobe.

There seemed to be a crack from the earlier collision, revealing a corner of a dark garment.

“Is it really just a wardrobe?”

No matter how many locks were on it, it was just an ordinary wooden wardrobe.

It was something that could be broken open with a punch; what kind of protective function could it possibly have?

If there were such treasured items, why not get a safe?

“But…”

Mu’en couldn’t help but rub his hands together in small delight.

“You fell out yourself; don’t blame me.”

Saying that, he reached out to grab the corner of the garment and gave it a hard tug…

And then the corner of his mouth that had just started to curve upward immediately froze.

“This is… underwear?”

Looking at the familiar men’s underwear in his hand, Mu’en’s expression turned immediately disdainful.

A woman’s panties always excited people, but this was a bit…

Fortunately, perhaps because he had pulled too hard, the underwear pulled out other clothes from inside the wardrobe, revealing yet another dark corner.

So Mu’en casually threw the underwear away and grabbed that corner to pull again—

Another pair of underwear?

What bad luck?

“I really don’t believe it!”

Mu’en’s temper flared, and without caring about anything else, he directly thrust his hand into the crack of the wardrobe.

A few minutes later…

Mu’en stared at the small mountain of men’s underwear piled up in front of him, deeply questioning life.

Would anyone really… own this many pairs of underwear at the same time?

Even a severe clean freak who changes ten times a day wouldn’t be this ridiculous!

“Wait a minute…”

Mu’en suddenly came to his senses.

Not to mention the number issue, upon closer inspection, he realized that these pairs of underwear actually had completely different styles.

Just like one couldn’t date two women at the same time, one also couldn’t wear two different sizes of underwear at the same time.

In other words…

It was as if a spark flashed through his mind, and Mu’en suddenly recalled what Celicia had said to him earlier.

“A boys’ dormitory… a pervert stealing underwear?”

In an instant, a chill shot from the soles of Mu’en’s feet straight to his forehead, and a terrifying malice coiled above his head like a poisonous snake, hissing.

He stiffly turned his neck.

The door to the room had opened at some point, and a tall figure stood in the shadows, silently staring at Mu’en in the room.

The face, slightly honest and simple, was filled with disbelief.

He seemed dumbfounded by the sight before him.

Like a good-natured husband returning home late at night and hearing strange noises from his wife’s room.

Moments later, a deep, low voice tinged with confusion and hidden anger broke the suffocating silence:

“Mu’en Campbell?”

“Haha, what a coincidence.”

Mu’en looked at Ryan not far away and forced a friendly smile.

“Ryan, are you here to visit too?”

“This is my dormitory.”

“…”

Mu’en’s smile immediately froze.

I know this is your dormitory, buddy, but I said that on purpose.

Isn’t it better for the two of us to play dumb and brush off this awkward moment?

Why does it have to be so stiff when we’re all classmates?

But Ryan clearly didn’t understand Mu’en’s deeper meaning; he silently drew out his wide blade.

“I didn’t expect you to discover this. Since that’s the case, it can’t be helped.”

Like a decent person who, after brief anger, disbelief, and hysteria, finally accepts reality and chooses to let the other person be happy, Ryan’s expression calmed down at that moment.

“Come back to the embrace of the Love God here, Mu’en Campbell,” Ryan said with a cold expression.

“I see…”

Mu’en got up, a flicker of realization appearing on his face.

Looking at the stack of underwear on the ground, and recalling earlier events, he finally understood what that Pure-Souled Young Men’s Mutual Aid Society was all about and also finally realized why a group of men would succumb to the corrupting influence of the Love God.

It was a distorted love that led to the corruption by the Love God.

It turned out to be a sect composed of male lovers.

No wonder.

Thinking of this, Mu’en couldn’t help but feel pity when looking at Ryan:

“Do you know what kind of road you have chosen, Ryan?”

“What kind of road? Naturally, it’s the road of pursuing love.”

Ryan tore off his clothing, revealing his muscular physique, as well as… the signature of the True Love Cult.

“The great Love God taught me what love is, so I will forever follow Him.”

“So, as a heretic who has blasphemed the divine, you must die here today, Mu’en Campbell!”

“Is that so? This pursuit of faith is indeed touching, but do you think you can do it, Ryan?”

Mu’en slowly raised the dagger in his hand, smiling as he said:

“During the martial arts class before, I did win, you know.”

“That was just me being careless and falling for your little trick.”

Ryan glanced at the fruit knife in Mu’en’s hand, which seemed to completely disregard him, and the veins on his forehead twitched slightly.

But that anger was quickly suppressed.

One cannot fall in the same place twice; after being provoked to anger and defeated by Mu’en in just a few words last time, he had meditated all night to adjust his emotions!

This time, he would not be easily blinded by anger!

“It seems the old method won’t work.”

Mu’en sighed and displayed a bitter smile:

“I can’t use these little tricks, and it seems I really am not your opponent. So, before I die, Ryan, could you answer some of my curiosities?”

“What?”

“Actually, it’s nothing much, just that I’m a bit curious. Clearly, Ryan, you are a male lover, why were you so emotionally stirred by my words in the martial arts class?”

Mu’en stretched his neck like a curious child and exaggeratedly asked:

“Could it be… Ryan, you couldn’t find a girlfriend, so you chose to settle for being a male lover?”

“Damn it!”

Ryan’s eyes turned red again in an instant at the words.
